Privacy and Analytics

How GlobalTimeCompare uses device timezone settings, local preferences and optional Google Analytics.

Updated 5 October 2026

Timezone calculations

Timezone detection reads your browser's timezone setting. It does not request precise location access or use an IP geolocation service. Date and time conversions run in your browser. The current converter has no account, saved-team or payment form.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics loads only after you choose Allow analytics. It measures page visits and selected tool interactions, including timezone choices, conversions, roller changes, language choices and related-tool clicks. Google may derive reports such as device type, approximate location and traffic source.

Advertising features, Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our analytics configuration. Our custom events send timezone identifiers or tool selections rather than your date/time input, search queries or personal information. Pageview URLs omit query strings; the custom referrer field is limited to its origin.

Your choices and browser storage

Use Analytics preferences at the bottom of any page to allow or decline analytics. Declining does not prevent using the tools. Your consent choice and language preference are stored locally in your browser. Google Analytics uses cookies if you allow it.

Declining after accepting stops our subsequent analytics events; it does not erase data already processed by Google or automatically delete existing cookies. You can remove cookies and local preferences through your browser's site-data controls.

Hosting and third parties

Vercel hosts the website and processes network requests to deliver it. Hosting and analytics providers may process technical request information under their own policies. This page describes the site's current implementation; it does not promise that hosting logs or consented analytics are anonymous.
