Working-hours overlap, explained
A London and New York team usually shares a shorter afternoon window in London and morning window in New York. That window changes when their daylight-saving schedules diverge. Adding India may leave no common 09:00–17:00 window; adjust hours with the team rather than assuming somebody can meet at night.
The search checks quarter-hour starts across a UTC day, and verifies every minute of the requested elapsed duration against each local schedule. Overnight shifts belong to the day they start. This is schedule overlap, not access to anyone’s real calendar. Public holidays are not included.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I find a meeting time across timezones?
- Choose two to four locations, a UTC search date, and each location’s local working hours. The tool lists start times where the full meeting fits every schedule.
- Does this meeting planner account for daylight saving?
- Yes. It uses the IANA timezone rules for each actual meeting instant, including half-hour and 45-minute offsets. Recheck recurring meetings when dates change.
- Are weekends or public holidays included?
- Saturday and Sunday are excluded unless you enable weekends for a location. Public holidays, leave and personal calendars are not known to this tool; confirm availability with participants.
- Can I save my team without an account?
- You can save timezone and working-hour settings in this browser or copy a setup link. Names, email addresses and calendar credentials are not required.
